Connecting science and spirituality to reawaken to the roots of happiness

Practicing with nature:

Breathing with Trees is both a book and a practice. If you are like me, you may have noticed a feeling that something was missing, that there could be more to life. This happened to me at age 50 after spending my life doing what civilization taught me. I had managed to buy a big house on a golf course with a swimming pool and expected that that would finally make me feel successful. But I wasn’t any happier than when I was penniless going to college on the GI bill. That started me on a 30 year search for what actually led to happiness. Based on research in many branches of science and different methods of meditation, I experienced 10 major realizations and 5 meditative practices. These discoveries have brought me solid, unshakable happiness based on a reawakening to the entire universe. With this book and this blog, I’m hoping to share these ideas with you and encourage a discussion about our shared existence.
