What I discovered:

In 30 years of research and exploration I had some amazing experiences and learned some surprisingly new information. All of these discoveries are covered in depth in the book, but here’s a summary:

From psychology, a way to break free from

  • worrying about the future

  • hiding anxieties via substance abuse,

  • using scapegoating on others to get out our aggression,

  • striving to “look good enough,”

while also enabling us to find fuller and deepter love connections, which can be done all by ourselves.

From forestry, how trees give instructions to fungi to deliver sugars to their children and other trees and plants in need and show us the way.

From physics, how microwave emissions connect us with the trees to be comforted and learn from them.

From anthropology, how our hunter-gathers in Africa learned from the trees over their 2 million year evolution to share equally with each other in a “gift economy” and have gender equality.

From biology, this hunter-gatherer gifting way is now embedded in us as the way to deep happiness and save all of us from climate destruction.

From neuroscience, how a unique meditation method tht goes all the way back to the hunter-gatherers brings our brains into a unique frequency of operation that allow us to better acquire knowledge and understanding, while being both relaxed and alert and appreciating just being alive.
